Obama and Chairman Rudd create the climate institute.
There is an actual need for a global clearinghouse to create better tech?
| President Obama and Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd announced Thursday the creation of a new institute to research how best to capture and store carbon emissions that are heating the globe. Making the best of an intercontinental dispute over climate change that divides developed and developing nations, the two leaders said the institute will act as a clearinghouse for the best technological ideas worldwide. "It will get projects done around the world, not just discussed," Rudd said. |
If everything is pushed thru this one institute, how long before reports of projects bottle necked or political favoritism or just plain inefficacy? It would have been better to set up guidelines or some other incentive if they want better ideas to come to fruition.
