Let’s get real: Did anyone at the White House truly expect the interview with President Barack Obama and Fox News to go well?
I certainly didn’t.
From the outset, the 19-minute interview on Wednesday was a rude, disrespectful exchange with America's first black president.
It was actually more like an ambush.
Monday, Obama agreed to an interview with “Special Report" anchor Bret Baier in a rare sit-down with Fox News help to bolster public support for his $1 trillion health care reform bill that Congress is considering this week.
On several occasions, Obama chided Baier for cutting him off before he was able to complete his sentences. And for much of the interview, Baier talked over Obama in what became a sudden blur of words. In fact, Obama was interrupted a total of 16 times during the contentious on-air interrogation.
That is because he kept trying the same old talking points and Baier tried to keep him on track. Just because he is black doesn't mean he is treated like a god. He is the President of the United States of America and he should be held accountable over his massive government takeover of health care.
