As the first congressional election during his party chairmanship approaches, Michael Steele is dancing as fast as he can trying to charm independent voters and Tea Partiers while never losing sight of his real master and paycheck provider, the Republican National Committee.
Now put it to the test, if a conservative or GOPer said this about a black man high up on the DNC what would the outrage be like in the MSM? Its reads to me as a cutesy implied racism that leftist like to trot out to make their point.
Update: Lawrence O'Donnell did say sorry but considering he said the segment with the offending language was taped beforehand, it is a crap statement.
This is MSNBC, land of the groveling sensitive leftist. You mean to tell me that no one on that show realized that those words talking about a black man would have been seen as racist?
The other angle when it comes to liberals/leftists/progressives is since it was talking about Michael Steele who is a black conservative that it was okay to treat him as some sort of house negro in the original segment. The bottom line is no one is going to convince me that they didn't know what they wanted to dog whistle to their audience in the first place about Steele.
