Miami Hurricanes quit against FSU, players and coaches should apologise to the fans

I have watched an absolute disgraceful display of football put out by the Canes against FSU.

Unwatchable garbage that if this was the NFL would have coaches fired and players cut or traded. I am livid this team didn't show up for this game and was not even remotely prepared to be on the field.

Jacory Harris is done. He is at the bottom rung of Miami QBs that have played the position. He is not a leader, he is not a game changer.

Randy Shannon may have close ties to the community and seen as a father figure to some players but he is not a good coach, he is not a big game coach and he has lead this team from the abyss of the Larry Coker era but it is stuck being a mediocre entity.

The only way Shannon should hold on to his job is he runs the table, wins the ACC championship and a big time bowl game. Other than that he should be fired at the end of the season.

I watched a whole day of college football and was able to see teams show up for their big games with their coaches acting like a big time coach to realize that Miami Hurricanes have neither the coaches or players to be considered a big time college program.

This is the type of loss that sent South Florida players away from the Canes to FSU and the Gators back in the day. Now with programs at USF and UCF, they have more choices and it will come to bite the canes in the ass.

Les Miles didn't sell his soul to the devil, he is the devil.

How the hell does he keep doing it, he just ripped the heart out of the Gator Nation.

Latin America/others allowed to sue over Arizona's immigration law by ninth circuit.

Of course the 9th would allow this to happen where countries who have a vested interest in keeping illegal immigrants moving north while sending money south would be allow this insulting maneuver. No surprise that Obama and the DoJ also support this astonishing development.
In a new twist in the fight over Arizona’s immigration law, Republican Gov. Jan Brewer on Tuesday asked a federal court to disallow foreign governments from joining the U.S. Department of Justice lawsuit to overturn the law.

The move comes in response to a 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling issued Monday, allowing nearly a dozen Latin American countries — Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru and Chile — to submit friend-of-the-court briefs in Justice’s challenge to SB 1070, which Brewer signed into law in April and is considered one of the nation’s toughest immigration-enforcement measures.

“As do many citizens, I find it incredibly offensive that these foreign governments are using our court system to meddle in a domestic legal dispute and to oppose the rule of law,” the Republican governor said in a statement shortly after the state’s motion was filed Tuesday evening.

“What’s even more offensive is that this effort has been supported by the U.S. Department of Justice. American sovereignty begins in the U.S. Constitution and at the border,” she added. “I am confident the 9th Circuit will do the right thing and recognize foreign interference in U.S. legal proceedings and allow the State of Arizona to respond to their brief.” tries to excuse black judge for white boy comment on the bench.

Black/White, it doesn't matter. This is the type of behavior where you take this judge off the bench for a bit until he gets a better attitude. It is pathetic to see once again this sort of tribalism to excuse this judge's behavior.

Judge Joseph K. Williams is mad as hell, and he's not going to take it anymore! The Allegheny County, Pa., judge made headlines Tuesday when he denied a plea deal for a white defendant accused of trying to fight with cops after a traffic stop because he said the prosecutor who offered it negotiates plea deals only for "white boys."

Williams, who is black, claimed the prosecutor, Assistant District Attorney Brian Catanzarite, "comes up with, I think, ridiculous pleas whenever it's a young white guy ... if this had been a black kid who did the same thing, we wouldn't be talking about three months' probation." Cantarazite said another prosecutor came up with the plea deal in question, and that he "comes up with offers based on facts." Well, that argument is going in circles. It probably wasn't wise for Williams to take out his anger on a first-time offender who might have deserved a plea deal, but just imagine the kinds of things he sees on the bench day in and day out. Can you blame him for being frustrated?

Hmmmm... No. It was a racist and stupid comment to make as a sitting judge. He has a problem then don't do it in that setting.
From the Pitts-Review:

Another race issue arose last week before Williams when Freedom Bey, a black man from Larimer convicted by a jury of first-degree murder, asked for a new trial because the jury was all white.

Williams denied the request, saying that he agreed jurors probably didn't understand Bey's rough upbringing, but that some issues transcend cultural differences.

"Things are not perfect, but some of us manage to get through it without killing people, without dealing drugs, without hurting other people," the judge said last week.

The judge has some issues.

Did Lawrence O'Donnell imply Michael Steele dancing for his masters?

Via Newsbusters comes this curious bit from MSNBC's newest liberal star. He basically calling him a house negro.

As the first congressional election during his party chairmanship approaches, Michael Steele is dancing as fast as he can trying to charm independent voters and Tea Partiers while never losing sight of his real master and paycheck provider, the Republican National Committee.

Now put it to the test, if a conservative or GOPer said this about a black man high up on the DNC what would the outrage be like in the MSM? Its reads to me as a cutesy implied racism that leftist like to trot out to make their point.

Update: Lawrence O'Donnell did say sorry but considering he said the segment with the offending language was taped beforehand, it is a crap statement.

This is MSNBC, land of the groveling sensitive leftist. You mean to tell me that no one on that show realized that those words talking about a black man would have been seen as racist?

The other angle when it comes to liberals/leftists/progressives is since it was talking about Michael Steele who is a black conservative that it was okay to treat him as some sort of house negro in the original segment. The bottom line is no one is going to convince me that they didn't know what they wanted to dog whistle to their audience in the first place about Steele.

Mediaite: Should Rush Limbaugh have the right to call Obama a Jackass?

I don' think Colby Hall understands while it may be impolite to call anyone a jackass, the President of the United States is not a king or a dictator.
Writing for ABC News Political Punch blog, Steven Portnoy reports

Derision of the president on his program is nothing new, but Rush Limbaugh’s tone today may have struck the ears of regular listeners as particularly disdainful, taking his contempt of the president to a new level.

The nation’s preeminent conservative talk radio host referred to Mr. Obama as a “jackass,” an “economic illiterate” and an “idiot, where capitalism is concerned.”

The rough stuff came during a monologue on the president’s position on extending the Bush tax cuts to all but the top two percent of wage earners.

There is no question that the vast majority of those listening to Mr. Limbaugh likely agree with his sentiment, but there is a legitimate question to be asked. Is it appropriate for an individual broadcasting over government regulated airwaves to call the sitting president a jackass? Or is he just looking for attention? Or both?

Broward County residents are idiots using 911 for stupid reasons

Broward is dominated by  Democrats.. connection?
It appears residents in Broward County have their definitions for "nonsense" and "emergency" mixed up.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office call center, nearly half the 911 calls they receive are for things not quite a life or death situation - unless you consider a fast food order an emergency.

To paraphrase the immortal words of Flavor Flav, 911 callers are a joke in this town.

"My toilet's overflowing, what do I do? That's my personal favorite," BSO Sheriff Al Lamberti said.

While it's a stretch, a busted toilet at least could, conceivably, be considered an emergency. But there is no rationale for the number calls that sound something like this:

"I ordered chicken nuggets and they don't have chicken nuggets," one woman called 911 to report.

The fast food offenses are usually the most common and often the most annoying because people think it's really an emergency worthy of 911, one operator said.

"Screaming in my ear, 'I wanted the sausage, and he gave me the burrito!'" April McGill recalls from one call. "She's trying to force me to eat something off the menu that I don't want!"

Believe this is just the tip of the stupid that is flowing in this county. Unless you have a good sense of humor, you will go nuts down here.

Lip Service: Obama says fiscal situation "untenable"

Via Reuters.

President Barack Obama on Monday said the United States was facing an "untenable fiscal situation" and would have to get serious about tackling its federal deficit.

The U.S. budget deficit is forecast at a record $1.47 trillion in the fiscal year that ended on September 30, 2010.

Obama said that emergency government spending measures he took to support growth and hiring when he took office last year had temporarily added to the funding gap, but the deficit had to be tackled going forward.

At least he admits he added to the deficit but his answer is not to cut back on spending but raise everyones taxes to cover his spending spree.

MSNBC new tag line of lean forward is interesting....

Lean Forward enough and eventually you have to bend over. Thats when you get screwed.

Guardian columnist who has 5 kids whines about the government cutting welfare checks.

Did you know in England for leftists the rest of society is supposed to pay them for having lots of kids? I know!! What about of leaches as Joseph Harker shows here.
Child benefit is currently paid at £20.30 per week for the first child (equivalent to £1,055 per year, tax free). For each subsequent child, the mother receives £13.40 per week (£697 a year). So, for a family with three children, the mother receives £2,450 per year; for four children, £3,145; and for five children £3,840. In other words, if you're a high-rate taxpayer with three children, Osborne would take away the equivalent of over £4,000 in gross salary. And for each subsequent child it would be another £1,000 equivalent.

For the super-rich, or even those earning over £100,000, this may be an affordable pay cut. But for those earning just above the £44,000 mark, it will have massive implications.

Some may believe that, to a high earner, child benefit is a luxury.

But I have five children, and I know just how difficult it is to make ends meet with a larger family. Children are hugely expensive – and child benefit is the state's way of acknowledging the financial hit to parents, and making a small contribution to offset it. For larger families, costs such as clothes and food multiply. It costs £240 per term for my three older children to travel to senior school, for example. And even little things like swimming classes, football practice and music lessons all mount up when multiplied: not to mention the "luxuries" like eating out (one family meal at McDonald's: £20), or the annual holiday (flights out of the question).

No one is forcing you to have 5 kids, society shouldn't be paying anyone with a good paying job like yourself extra benefits so your kids can get piano lessons. I am barely supporting the notion of welfare but someone in your pay bracket whining that you are not getting a benefit is a slap in the face of even that is amazing.

It shows how clueless leftists really are when it comes to the real world.

Miami Dolphins are a disgrace tonight against the Patriots.

I read or hear one stupid coach or player says they made mistakes or its correctable I will flip out. The Dolphins were outcoached, outschemed and outhustled tonight in all aspects. QB situation needs to be cleared up, special teams coach needs to be fired and this team quit after the second half. Horrendous.

A truly disgraceful display of football and an embarrassment to NFL football in general.
