Wisconsin Police force supports intimidating businesses to support their union?

Sorry, but when the people who are paid by the taxpayers let this go on in their name, I drop my support of the police. DOJ needs to investigate this union thuggery by Wisconsin police.

Obama's big lie on oil exploration from his energy speech yesterday.

I am again siding with the assumption Obama is not stupid and just thinks he can spew out any line he wants and the public will just take it at face value.
Domestic oil production has to be part of the strategy, Obama said -- and he urged companies to "take advantage of the opportunities they already have."

"Right now, the industry holds tens of millions of acres of leases where it's not producing a drop, sitting on supplies of American energy just waiting to be tapped," Obama said.

Oil company executives and congressional Republicans said those spots are idle because Obama administration regulation has blocked drilling there.

"The facts are the White House has been consistently working to prevent and delay exploration of American-made energy," said Brendan Buck, a spokesman for House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio.

Erik Milito, a director with the American Petroleum Institute, said, "This is like leasing an apartment from the government for $20 million dollars and the government refuses to give you the keys to the apartment.

"Then the government proceeds to complain because you are not occupying the premises."

How can you drill domestically when Obama and friends are doing everything in their power to drive away oil production not only in the gulf where permits have basically stopped but everywhere else in America?

Wisconsin union thugs threaten businesses

Typical union thugs going after businesses.
Members of Wisconsin State Employees Union, AFSCME Council 24, have begun circulating letters to businesses in southeast Wisconsin, asking them to support workers’ rights by putting up a sign in their windows.

If businesses fail to comply, the letter says, “Failure to do so will leave us no choice but (to) do a public boycott of your business. And sorry, neutral means ‘no’ to those who work for the largest employer in the area and are union members.”

Jim Parrett, a field representative of Council 24 for Southeast Wisconsin, confirmed the contents of the letter, which carries his signature. But he added that the union was also circulating letters to businesses thanking them for supporting workers’ rights.

Muslim advocate Farhana Khera and her "inappropriate" answer to a simple question.

Via Powerlineblog they post this interesting piece of back and forth at the Durbin Muslim hearing.
Kyl: I wonder if you've made any public pronouncement or statement condemning those religious leaders who've employed violent or hateful rhetoric or promoted hateful views of other's religious groups. Have you done that or has your website done that?

Khera: Well let me, maybe by way of background, just clarify...

Kyl: As a former staffer you know that my time is very limited. I don't have a lot for background. I have three quick questions here, have you done that?

Khera: Well let me just clarify, Sen. Kyl, my organization's work is focused on protecting and upholding our constitutional values.

Kyl: So you haven't condemned the hateful speech of those who have criticized others in the way that I mentioned then.

Khera: I guess I would have to know more specifically which particular case you're talking about.

Kyl: Let me just ask you this. Would you today criticize threats of death or physical harm directed at writers or commentators who've criticized Islamic extremism? You would condemn that today, would you not?

Khera: I think we have, in our country, very cherished fidelity to the first amendment and that includes the freedom of speech -

Kyl: I'm not questioning whether people have the right to speak. The question is whether you would agree that that speech is helpful or hurtful, whether you would condemn it or be neutral about it.

Khera: Those who would threaten to kill somebody because of their political views, religious views - that's inappropriate.

There is a strongly worded denouncement of the many threats against people who speak out against extreme Islam.

Eric Holder's DOJ sues on behalf of Muslim to take hajj. New Obama outreach program?

Employers have to make reasonable accommodations on the basis of religion. This was not a reasonable request and she should have lost her job because of it.

Safoorah Khan had taught middle school math for only nine months in this tiny Chicago suburb when she made an unusual request. She wanted three weeks off for a pilgrimage to Mecca.

The school district, faced with losing its only math lab instructor during the end-of-semester marking period, said no. Khan, a devout Muslim, resigned and made the trip anyway.

Justice Department lawyers examined the same set of facts and reached a different conclusion - that the school district's decision amounted to outright discrimination against Khan. They filed an unusual lawsuit, accusing the district of violating her civil rights by forcing her to choose between her job and her faith.

As the case moves forward in federal court in Chicago, it has triggered debate over whether the Justice Department was following a purely legal path or whether suing on Khan's behalf was part of a broader Obama administration campaign to reach out to Muslims.

Why are people thinking this is an outreach program?
His successors in the Obama administration counter that they are upholding a sacred principle: the right of every American to be free of religious bias in the workplace. “This was a profoundly personal request by a person of faith,” said Thomas E. Perez, assistant attorney general for civil rights, who compared the case to protecting “the religious liberty that our forefathers came to this country for.”

The Obama administration has gone to great lengths to maintain good relations with Muslims — while endorsing tough anti-terrorism tactics. Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. has called protecting the civil rights of Muslims a “top priority,” and his department has filed other legal actions on behalf of Muslims, including a corrections officer in New Jersey not allowed to wear a head scarf at work.

Perez denied any political motive in the Berkeley lawsuit, saying it was pursued in part to fight “a real head wind of intolerance against Muslim communities.” People in the rapidly growing Muslim community in Chicago’s western suburbs praised the Justice Department’s involvement.

“It rings the bell of justice that they will fight for a Muslim wanting to perform a religious act,” said Shaykh Abdool Rahman Khan, resident scholar at the Islamic Foundation mosque near Berkeley. “That certainly can win the hearts of many people in the Muslim world.”

A few miles away at the Islamic Foundation, support for Khan was uniform. “If she was a Jew, would they treat her the same way?” Nabih Kamaan of Bloomingdale, Ill., asked as he arrived for Friday prayers.

“What if she was sick? What if she had a baby?” said Kamaan, who added that the lawsuit “is the right thing to do.”

Just want to point out that being sick and having a baby are not religious reasons and 19 days for hajj is not a reasonable request. If this lawsuit finds a friendly judge, all hell is going to break loose in regards to reasonable accommodations for every religious practice. Some practices like asking for 19 days off is not compatible with certain places of employments like a school.

Inayat Bunglawala questions why those murdered jews were living in "Palestinian land"

Typical UK censorship bid by Muslim advocate group over some blog post by Melanie Phillips who explains everything here who was outraged by the murder spree by Palestinians of a settler family including a 3 month old baby.

So Inayat Bunglawala taking advantage of UK's politically correct laws files a complaint but what is interesting is his dismissive post about the family using the a grotesque version of the woman deserved to be raped because look at how she is dressed defense in a very casual way.

The other way to look at it is Inayat is admitting that Palestinians are so violent this family should have know better. Either case is just sickening.

The piece is about last week’s killing of a Jewish settler family who were living in illegally occupied Palestinian land. The killings were indeed tragic. Though one does wonder why on earth the Jewish settlers thought it a sensible move to build their homes in illegally occupied Palestinian land.

So the killing of an entire family which was celebrated by Palestinians giving out candy and Bunglawala who has praised Osama Bin Laden in the past just dismisses the killing because the real outrage and crime is that a writer posted on a blog.

Talk about values.

New Mexico Dems deny bill to stop giving illegals driver's licenses.

As the illegal immigrant advocates cheer them on.

New Mexico's newly elected Republican governor lost her attempt to deny driver's licenses to illegal immigrants on Saturday, when the bill died in the state Senate.

New Mexico is one of only three states to allow undocumented immigrants to receive driver's licenses.

The other states bordering Mexico -- Arizona, California and Texas -- ban the practice.

In the Senate, where Democrats hold a 27 to 15 majority over Republicans, lawmakers indicated they were more interested in toughening up the existing law rather than repealing it.

The Senate voted to require foreign nationals to renew their licenses every two years and extended a residency requirement for foreign nationals seeking a license to six from three months.

But those measures failed to be enacted when the House and Senate on Saturday could not agree on the amended bill.

Advocates for immigrants groups cheered the result.

"This goes to show that you come in with a radical, extremist agenda, you're going to get push-back because New Mexico is not a radical extremist state," said Marcela Diaz, head of immigrants rights group Somos un Pueblo Unido.

LAPD will impound cars of US citizens and legal residents, illegal aliens get away free.

Here is some of that California logic by a dumb police chief named Charles Beck who is giving more rights to illegal immigrants than US citizens and legal residents. So if you get caught at a checkpoint, just say you are illegal.
Under the LAPD’s new policy, officers will give unlicensed illegal immigrants “reasonable time” to find someone else to drive their car home. It only applies at sobriety checkpoints and only if the driver isn’t drunk or otherwise wanted by police.

Chief Beck said “it’s the right thing to do.”

“The sad truth is that the people that were most impacted by this law were the people that could afford it the least – generally hardworking folks who are trying to make a life for themselves in the city of Los Angeles."

Beck said last year, officers working sobriety checkpoints impounded about 1,000 cars driven by undocumented immigrants who were not intoxicated or wanted by police. Overall, the LAPD impounded nearly 70,000 vehicles last year, but Beck said he’s not yet ready to extend the more lenient policy beyond the checkpoints.

He defended himself against critics who said his policy promotes illegal immigration.

“I rigorously enforce the law," the chief said. "The law gives me the option whether or not I impound that vehicle for 30 days. I am exercising that option because of the adverse impact of this law.”

The chief said unlicensed U.S. citizens and legal residents stopped at checkpoints will still see their cars impounded, because unlike undocumented immigrants they have the choice to get a license.

Amid an increasingly anti-immigrant political environment in the U.S., Mexican Consul General Juan Carlos Mendoza praised the new policy.

"We really support this initiative by Chief Beck because its in favor of the Latino community."

Black Students At Princeton Theological Seminary Whine over anti abortion flyers.

Its six days old but this really irritated me because what kind of politically correct sensitive wall flowers are the under 30 crowd in college these days?
It has become the talk among African American students at the prestigious Princeton Theological Seminary — racially charged fliers and postings. All of it is apparently anti-abortion literature.

Among the fliers was one that displayed a noose and another with the words “in the new klan lynching is for amateurs.”

“I was shocked and appalled that someone would place something like that up at this particular institution,” seminary student Maurice Stinnett told CBS 2′s Derricke Dennis.

“There was a lot of devastation for me, psychological damage, injury, because I saw this as social bullying,” student Shirley Thomas said.

Student leaders at the seminary, which neighbors Princeton University but is not directly affiliated, said the fliers first appeared on campus last November then reappeared in February for Black History Month.

The fliers originate from various sources, pointing out the number of African American deaths by abortion.

Student Katherine Timpte called the fliers “appalling and tragic and upsetting at all levels.”

The high abortion rate among black women doesn't offend them but a piece of paper sends them over the edge. Here is what offends me. These are supposedly college students acting like babies over something at best you go "Damn" and then try to seek out information or refute.

Nope, they go into drama mode and act like the Klan themselves came on campus and killed someone.

Grow up. It is appalling the type of whining bush league behavior I am seeing out of the "future of America" If these wallflowers are the future, America is dead.

Now how about someone address the fact the abortion and teen pregnancy and single mothers rates in the black community is contributing to its demise.

Tim Blair: " In London, anarchists are fighting against reduced government. "

Any black retail person, just because I am black doesn't means you can just goof around.

This is just a pure vent but maybe because I am getting old and cranky but black people when talking to other black people in line who are their buddies seem to think just because you are black you are going to put up with this shit. It has happened to me about 5 times this week and the latest at a Mcdonalds drivethru where some idiot decided to converse with their friend at the drivethru window exchanging gifts or something.

I am getting the feeling that black people especially the young ones are getting more and more ignorant. Black on Black customer service is the worse.

German idiots vote in the Green Party in state poll disaster.

Merkel didn't help but voting in the Green party shows a complete lack of common sense and out of touch with reality. As with all things Green Parties, watch it crash and burn as they govern so far on the left Germans will realize what a stupid decision it was to vote them in power.

Oh, Good luck with your wheel you are going to use for power now that nuclear power is so evil.
