Obame gutting the military while fighting for domestic spending?

Obama is moving around his national security team with Panetta to be in charge of the Pentagon which is a start to what seems to be a gutting of the military budget.

President Barack Obama, as part of his plan to reduce the nation’s long-term debt, will propose cutting $400 billion from the Pentagon’s budget through the 2023 fiscal year, extending cuts beyond those sought by Defense Secretary Robert Gates, a person familiar with the plan said.

Gates met with Obama and Vice President Joe Biden in the Oval Office yesterday afternoon to discuss the president’s plan. Gates proposed in January cutting $78 billion from defense spending over five years, amid pressure to curb trillion-dollar federal deficits.

Over the next five years, the administration forecasts the government will pile up a cumulative deficit of $3.8 trillion; over the decade, the cumulative deficits would rise to $7.2 trillion.

In addition to defense cuts, Obama will propose three other main components to reduce the debt, according to a White House statement: holding down domestic spending, curbing health- care costs and closing tax loopholes. The administration has released no details.

Notice how the only part that is explicitly getting cut is defense, everything else is an accounting sleight of hand.

Terrific, DC Comics makes Superman disown America for "bigger goals."

The left wing freaks that now populate the comic book world(screw your graphic novels) have pushed especially in the last decade to mock and spit all over America by using beloved comic book characters. Now they have taken the ultimate American Icon and have him denounce his America citizenship. The comic fanboys are loving it.

When Superman drops in on an Iranian protest to stand with demonstrators in an act of nonviolent civil disobedience, the U.S. government takes him to task for acting as an instrument of national policy. Superman responds by renouncing his American citizenship and proclaiming himself a citizen of the universe.

It’s a sobering moment, as obvious as it is revolutionary. Superman’s conscientious creators, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, who dreamed up Superman for Action Comics‘ 1938 debut, positioned their deathless hero as an American heartland warrior battling tyranny and evil.

But Superman has always been bigger than the United States, and not just because he was inspired — directly or indirectly is still subject to debate — by Friedrich Nietzsche’s polar-opposite Übermensch.

In an age rife with immigration paranoia, it’s refreshing to see an alien refugee tell the United States that it’s as important to him as any other country on Earth — which in turn is as important to Superman as any other planet in the multiverse.

The genius of Superman is that he belongs to everyone, for the dual purposes of peace and protection. He’s above ephemeral geopolitics and nationalist concerns, a universal agent unlike any other found in pop culture.

The finest moment in Action Comics No. 900 comes when Goyer makes that exquisitely clear to everyone.

This better be some one shot crap shoot or everyone will need to get to work on boycotting DC Comics and the new Superman movie. I am getting tired of these leftist writers taking characters to push their own twisted agenda on the guise of some greater cause. This is Goyer using an icon to slam America and its values. Nothing more.

.....While it’s no surprise that the Fox correspondent completely agreed with West’s enflamed statements, this beesh starts bringing up old sh*t ‘out of curiosity!’ She questioned whether West believed that Obama was unaware of his former pastor, Jeremiah Wright’s, ‘appalling’ references to white people. And just like the coon he is for the day, he insinuated that President Obama wasn’t being honest about how he really feels. SMH
